This is a three night, four day package where you go deeper into the jungle than on any other trip. This is our most popular tour with our seniors, although many others enjoy the ability to see Bardia National Park while doing just a little walking. You travel with your jungle guide who knows the park and the animals.
When you are not in the jungle, you can relax by the pool, get a massage (slightly extra cost) or just relax. Babai Resort is on the bank of the branch of the famed Karnali River, so you can often see the wild animals right from the resort!

Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1 – ARRIVAL
You leave the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu behind today when you board the domestic flight to the western city of Nepalgunj. It’s an hour flight where you fly over the very backbone of the mighty Himalayas. It is an awesome flight as you gaze down at the snowcapped peaks. At Nepalgunj, you will meet your personal representative from Babai Resort who takes you to your room. Check in, sip on a welcome drink, and feel the peacefulness of the Bardia jungle. In the afternoon take a trip to see the Tharu Village. The Tharus are the indigenous people of the jungle who will welcome you into their homes. See the elephant breeding grounds where you will see baby elephants. In the evening, enjoy dinner and relaxing by the pool.
DAY 2 – JEEP SAFARI TOUR - DAY 1
The wild animals of the jungle rise early, and we do to in order to have the best opportunity to see them. We have breakfast early, then take a jeep deep into the jungle. Your guide will take you to different places where tiger sightings are a good possibility. While there is never a 100% chance of seeing a tiger, you have a 90% chance of seeing a tiger over the two days in Bardia. We will take our lunch inside of the park as the jeep penetrates deep into the jungle. Look for wild elephants, Indian One-Horned Rhino, rare birds and much more. Every turn of the road reveals something new. Relax in the evening by the pool.
DAY 3 – JEEP SAFARI TOUR - DAY 2
In some ways it’s a repeat of Day 2, but really its not because there’s so much more to explore. Each sunrise reveals a new opportunity for adventure in Bardia National Park. We explore new areas, return to some more familiar and breathe in the wonderfully pure air of Bardia National Park. In the evening, we will enjoy a Tharu cultural program with incredible dancing.
DAY 4 – RETURN TRIP
No doubt you’ve seen a tiger as well as other jungle animals as you prepare for breakfast and your departure back to Nepalgunj for your flight back to Kathmandu. It’s been an exciting time and no doubt you’ve got the photographs and memories to remind you of your Bardia jungle experience.
