It’s the heart of the Asian jungle as you and your guide make your way to your hidden observation point overlooking the river below. Bardia National Park is the best place to see the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger in its natural habitat. This tour is three nights, four day where you penetrate the dense jungle of western Nepal of Bardia National Park. It is an experience like nothing else when you site a tiger for the first time.
This tracking tour features plenty of opportunity to see the jungle animals as you experience a nature walk along with plenty of photographic opportunities. Bardia is a bird-watcher’s paradise as there are hundreds of varieties of birds that either make their home here or stop here on their migration route.

Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1 – ARRIVAL
Arrive at Nepalgunj Airport after a thrilling hour flight over the backbone of the Himalayas. Here you will be greeted by your personal representative from Babai Resort and taken by car to your room to check in. Enjoy a welcome drink and settle into your room. There will be time to tour a Tharu Village, the indigenous people of the Bardia region. Stop and pet a baby elephant at the Elephant Breeding Grounds while in the evening see an amazing sunset over Bardia National Park.
DAY 2 – JUNGLE SAFARI
It’s your first to penetrate the dense jungle of Bardia National Park as you begin your search for the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. Your experienced jungle guide knows the locations that these big cats can be found. While it’s not a 100% certain you will site a tiger, you have a 90% chance of seeing one of these beautiful creatures. Along the way, enjoy the tranquility of the jungle; a quiet full of jungle noises with so many birds abound. In the evening, return to your hotel where you will enjoy a Tharu cultural program before drifting to sleep with only the jungle sounds to keep you company.
DAY 3 – RETURN TO THE JUNGLE
There’s a good chance you saw a tiger yesterday, but today you get to return to other parts of the jungle to see more of the wild animals including again the Royal Bengal Tiger. There are wild elephant herds, crocodiles and the rare Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros that also call Bardia National Park home. We will continue to look for a variety of birds all along our path. Be sure to bring your camera as there is plenty of scenery and animals to photograph. Another wonderful day before returning to rest and relax by the pool. There is even an opportunity to have a relaxing massage and sauna at Babai Resort (slightly extra cost for professional massage and sauna).
DAY 4 – RETURN TRIP
Rise refreshed as you breath in the wonderfully pure jungle air. The sun rises beautifully over the Terai region. After breakfast, your personal guide will take you back to the airport at Nepalgunj for the beautiful flight as you look down over the world’s most beautiful mountains.
