We are happy to present you with a wide choice of activities and tours, each offering its own unique experience. These are:
Jungle Walk
This is one of the best way how to experience the park, moreover it’s environmentally friendly. It's a leisurely 3 to 5 (or longer) hour trip, that begins early in the morning, as there is the highest chance of spotting the wildlife. Also, our guides will bring you to sit and quietly observe at spots such as riverbanks, meadows and shelters where the probabilities increase. There you will also have plenty of time for a break, picnic or refreshment. Safety is the highest priority - our naturalists will lead you through the jungle carefully but surely.
Jeep Safari
Similarly to jungle walk, our staff will bring you to some of the many spots with the highest probability of spotting the animals, but in a comfort of our open-topped 4x4 vehicle. The advantage is that this way, you can go deeper in the park, what provides greater opportunity to explore it, and see the wildlife. There will be lots of stops for observing, taking pictures, and even walking around.
Rafting in Karnali
Unlike white water rafting, this is a gentle and relaxing float down the beautiful Karnali river. The trip lasts all day, so there will be plenty of time to spot different birds and other wildlife which comes to drink water at the riverbank - such as elephants, deers, rhinos or wild boars. A real highlight is encountering the rare and endangered freshwater dolphin. Hearty lunch is provided.
Tiger Tracking
As you might know, Bardia NP has the highest ratio of tiger sighting of any national park in Nepal, therefore do not miss your chances while you are here! In this exciting tour, we will focus on spotting the signs of tiger's presence, such as finding scratch marks on the tree or pugmarks on the trail. We will guide you to the spots where tigers normally come to drink or swim, and we will be also sitting there silently awaiting the 'Lord of the forrest'. Tigers are solitary and active mostly during the night, so if you are lucky enough to see one, it will be a moment that you'll surely remember all your life.
Elephant Safari
The elephant is not only the world's largest mammal, but also one of the most intelligent one. Therefore it's an unforgettable experience to ride it in its natural habitat. This animal can take you to regions of the park inaccessible on foot, and approach you closely to other species (such as rhinos) without disturbing them. This 2-3 hour tour is virtually a guarantee of exploring wildlife at close hand.
Tharu Cultural Program
An remarkable tour where you will discover the secrets of an exhilarating traditional dance with sticks, performed by local Tharu people. They will also present you with variety of other dances and songs and give you insight about their lives. This program helps to support the community to preserve their culture and traditions.
Camping in the Bardia National park
Join this tour into the wild and allow us to organize everything while staying there overnight. Just imagine hanging around the campfire after the whole day, watching the sunset, eating freshly cooked dinner, and falling asleep in a comfortable tent while listening to the sounds of jungle! In the morning, you can take a dip in the river or have a walk in the forest while our cook prepares your breakfast. And our nature guide will, of course, help you to indentify the species at anytime.
Honeymoon in the jungle

We will prepare a surprise by uniquely decorating your room/tent, offer you couples massage (while back at Resort) and even set up a candlelight dinner under the vast, starry skies while at camping safari! Accompanied by the drinks of your choice and professional photos, this holiday will be one of the most unforgettable of all.
Safari with kids
If you are worried that bringing children to the jungle isn't the best idea, you are wrong! Its often the little ones that have the most fun watching and learning about the wilderness. Our guides will ensure to explain them everything in a suitable manner, and also try to inspire them to cherish and protect the nature. We are certain that that your kiddos will feel happy, encouraged or even fascinated! And even after the return to the Resort, they can still enjoy the swimming pool or watching birds and butterflies.
Photography tour
As Bardia is newly awarded with prestigious ITB Berlin price, we are expecting more professional photographers, video makers and documentarists to visit the park. These particular guests can count on our help and assistance with their quest - we will ensure all the shooting permissions upon your arrival and select the most suitable naturalist for you. This National park is especially good for people interested to capture images of tigers, as their population here doubled over the last years, what is unique occurrence in the whole world.
Fishing
As you might already know, there are two rivers (Karnali & Babai) and their branches that cross Bardia National park, where we can arrange for you to catch some fish. You don’t need to bring any equipment or hassle with permits, just rely on us! Relaxing activity such as this is perfect to add to your itinerary while at safari, rafting or camping in the jungle.
Educational Tour
For students or researcher fellows interested in the wide range of fauna, flora and the entire ecosystem of Bardia, Babai resort is the place to contact. No matter if your goal is to track the population of tigers, do a project about world’s smallest bird (Mellisuga helenae) or study more about park's numerous conservation activities (such as that of translocations of pachyderms), our knowledgeable naturalists will be always ready to give you a hand with information, permits and orientation in the wild. In case of interest in elephants or crocodiles, we can arrange a visit to their breeding centers nearby the resort. Cultural tour - learning about and directly from the local tribe - can be also part of this program. And almost needlessly to say, we have a great capacity for a large groups and an awesome place to relax when back from the trip!
